Brooke Kenny is a writer living and working in the greater Washington, D.C. area. She is the book reviewer for The Gazette, a Post-Newsweek Media newspaper. She is at work on her first novel, titled Echoes of Her. She has also written and published several short stories and poems. Her short story "Carol of the Bells" has recently been published in the One Real Story short story anthology. Another of her short stories, "Red #64" will soon be featured in the literary journal Muton. Her work has also appeared in The Washington Post, OneRealStory.com, Spoken Like a Queen, Opened Eyes Poetry and Prose, and The Current, among other publications.
Brooke received her master's degree in creative writing from The Johns Hopkins University in 2008. She earned her bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Maryland, College Park. She received a Maryland Delegate Scholarship for the 2007-2008 academic year for her creative writing studies.
