Brooke Kenny received her master's degree in creative writing from The Johns Hopkins University in 2008. Her fiction, non-fiction, poetry and book reviews have been published in The Washington Post, OneRealStory.com, Spoken Like a Queen, Opened Eyes Poetry and Prose, The Gazette and The Current, among other publications. She received a Maryland Delegate Scholarship for the 2007-2008 academic year for her creative writing studies. When she is not writing, she is working for the features desk at The Gazette, coordinating the annual awards for the Washington, DC chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists or working at her favorite boutique in Takoma Park, Maryland.
